Bharat ka kisaan by gaurav dubey

EACH ONE TEACH ONE by gaurav dubey

About 35% of India's population is illiterate, that is, unable to read and write. These people face innumerable hardships and difficulties because of their illiteracy. Dishonest people take undue advantage of them, and they are insecure and dependent on others when it comes to the written word, because they cannot even write their names, leave alone signing a paper or document. They cannot even perform simple tasks such as reading the newspaper or someone's letter. Many of them remain unemployed.

These people are really unfortunate, and till we get rid of this problem of illiteracy, our nation will not prosper. But educating such a large number of people, most of whom are poor, is a stupendous task. The government cannot do it on its own. Therefore we, the literate ones, should do something to help these people. But what can we do?

If each one of us teaches atleast one illiterate person, all of them will be able to read and write within a few months. And teaching just one person is not very difficult or time consuming.

We need to devote just a little bit of our time for doing this noble work. We will get a lot of satisfaction from this task. The newly literate person will then be able to read books, newspapers and letters, and sign his name. He will be able to manage transactions with banks and post offices. This will make him independent and confident. It will help him to lead a better life, and even secure suitable employment.

So, let us each start teaching at least one illiterate person. We can start from our own homes or in our neighbourhoods. Schools and colleges can organise literacy camps during the vacations, and encourage their students to teach the poor illiterate people who live in the locality. Newspapers, radio and TV should hold discussions on the topic, and NGOs too must join in and help wherever possible. Unless a determined effort is made, there will be no progress.

Instead of expecting the government to do all these things, if we take the initiative and do it ourselves,India will progress very fast, and we will be happy that we have contributed to its progress. The satisfaction we get from this will be our reward.

ARTHUR RAY HAWKINS by gaurav dubey.

The first man to jump out of an aeroplane while it travelled at a speed greater than sound was Arthur Ray Hawkins, one of the most outstanding United States Navy Pilots. Jumps of this sort had long been regarded as impossible.

During an air show over the Mississippi in 1954, Hawkins was flying an entirely new type of plane. At 40,000 feet, the nose of the plane dipped sharply. No matter how hard he tried, Hawkins could not pull it out of the dive and it gathered such speed that it was soon travelling faster than sound. Strapped in his seat, and hanging upside-down, the pilot could not reach the button, which would destroy the top of the plane. Near him, however, there was another button, which was to be used only in times of great danger. Hawkins pressed it. There was an explosion and his seat - which shielded him to some extent - burst through the glass shell above his head.

While still half conscious, Hawkins tried to pull the ribbon, which would open his parachute. It was fortunate that he failed in his attempt, for at such a rate of speed, the parachute would have been torn to pieces. As he sped towards the earth, he realized that the breathing-tube, which supplied him with air had also been torn away. Rapidly losing consciousness because of the lack of air, he knew that he had to open parachute - otherwise he might not get another chance to do so. At about 29,000 feet, the parachute opened and Hawkins pulled a handle, which freed him from the pilot seat. While swinging through the air in slow motion, he began to tremble with cold and everything went grey : he was not getting enough air! Just then, he remembered a rule for breathning at great heights. He took short sharp breaths and so forced air into the bloodstream. This kept him alive untill, at ,10,000 feet, he could breath without difficulty. Soon afterwards, he landed safely in a field of cotton. His plane crashed into
a wood nearby, but luckily no one was hurt.

STEPHEN'S LIFE by gaurav dubey

About a year ago I was diagnosed with cancer. My doctor advised me to go home and
get my affairs in order, which is doctor's code for 'PREPARE TO DIE'. I lived with that diagnosis all day. Later that evening I had a biopsy. It turned out to be a very rare form of pancreatic cancer that is curable with surgery. I had the surgery and I'm fine now.

This was the closest I've been to facing death, and I hope it's the closest I get for a few more decades. Having lived through it, I can now say this to you: Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life.

Don't be trapped by dogma-which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice.

And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become.

When I was young, there was an amazing publication called 'THE WHOLE EARTH CATALOGUE'. In the final issue, on the back cover they put a photograph of an early morning country road. Beneath it were the word: STAY HUNGRY, STAY FOOLISH. It was their farewell message as they signed off. I have always wished that for myself. And now, as you graduate to begin anew, I wish that for you. STAY HUNGRY, STAY FOOLISH.

zindagi me kai bar hamare saath bura hota hai,
kai bar koi hamari madat nahi karta,
hamara apna gairo sa bartav karta hai,
bura samay ho ya acha samay ho
hame apne logo dwara lajjit kiya jaata hai,
hame apne hi log paraye lagte hai,
duniya bojh si lagti hai,
ham niraash hote hai,
lekin
hum unhe dosh dene ki bajay ye kabhi nahi sochte
ki kabhi hamne bhi kisika dil dukhaya hai,
kabhi hamne bhi kisiko nicha dikhaya hai,
kabhi hamne bhi kisiko sahara na diya,
kabhi hamne bhi kisiki madat na ki,
kabhi hamne bhi kisiki burai ki,
kabhi hamne bhi kisiko bhalabura kahaa,
aur najaane aise kitne karm hamne kiye jisse hamare
kisi priy ki bhavanaye aahat hui hai.

Oscar Pistorius

Oscar Leonard Carl Pistorius (born 22 November 1986) is a South African sprint runner. Known as the "Blade Runner" and "the fastest man on no legs", Pistorius, who has a double amputation, is the world record holder in the 100, 200 and 400 metres (sport class T44) events and runs with the aid of Cheetah Flex-Foot carbon fibre transtibial artificial limbs by Ossur. In 2007 Pistorius took part in his first international competitions for able-bodied athletes. However, his artificial lower legs, while enabling him to compete, have generated claims that he has an unfair advantage over able-bodied runners. The same year, the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) amended its competition rules to ban the use of "any technical device that incorporates springs, wheels or any other element that provides a user with an advantage over another athlete not using such a device". It claimed that the amendment was not specifically aimed at Pistorius. After monitoring his track performances and carrying out tests, scientists took the view that Pistorius enjoyed considerable advantages over athletes without prosthetic limbs. On the strength of these findings, on 14 January 2008 the IAAF ruled him ineligible for competitions conducted under its rules, including the 2008 Summer Olympics. This decision was reversed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport on 16 May 2008, the Court ruling overall there was no evidence that Pistorius had any net advantage over able-bodied athletes.
Although eligible to compete in the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, Pistorius did not qualify for the South African team. Despite achieving third place and a personal best time of 46.25 seconds in the 400 metres in Lucerne, Switzerland, on 16 July 2008, this was short of the Olympic qualification time of 45.55 seconds. He was also not selected by the South African Olympic Committee for the 4 x 400 metres relay team as there were four other runners who had achieved better times. At the 2008 Summer Paralympics, he took the gold medals in the 100, 200 and 400 metres (T44) sprints.
With his 400 m time of 45.07 on July 19, 2011, he achieved the "A" qualifying standard for the 2011 World Championships and 2012 Olympics.

So shocked, I can't believe it
This ain't the way I seen it
Now that you're here girl
I don't want to let you go
You've caught me in the moment
Can't hide how bad I want it
This to be real and it's time I let you know

Oh girl you've got that something
That's got my heartbeat jumping
You pick me up and turn my world around, oh oh
You made me finally see
That you're the only girl I need
And tonight I'm bout to show the world you're mine

You're the only girl that I think about
Anytime I'm feeling down
You know how to pick me up
You're the only girl
You're the only girl for me (for me)
You're the only girl that I think about
Anytime I'm feeling down
You know how to pick me up
You're the only girl
You're the only girl for me
Cuz you're my girl

You're running out of reasons
Why not the one you're seeing
All of my friend are saying we should be, oh oh
I'ts been a while since we've been talking and
I've been thinking it would be cool
If it was you and me, yeah yeah

Oh girl you've got that something
That's got my heartbeat jumping
You pick me up and turn my world around, oh oh
You made me finally see
That you're the only girl I need
And tonight I'm bout to show the world you're mine

You're the only girl that I think about

You know how to pick me up
You're the only girl

DR. KUMAR VISHWAS

Hindi poet on a peace mission (06/02/2011)

Singapore, Feb 6 (PTI) Indian poet and standup comedian Kumar Vishwas is on a mission to spread "peace around the globe" through his brand of light-hearted language-based entertainment.

Kumar, who hails from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, said that there were no barriers in entertainment fields, and he believes that Indian languages, especially Hindi and Urdu, remained the same even after 60-years of bitter and political-driven partition of the country.

"We speak the same language be it Hindi poetry or Urdu ''shayari'' across the border and wherever the Indian community resides across the globe," said the 40-year-old solo entertainer before presenting a three-hour show "Hasna Mana Hai" here last night.

Kumar joined Sunil Yogi, Albela Khatri and Pradeep Choube in the "Kavi Samelan" attended by some 500 Indians living in Singapore. This was the second time that the "Kavi Samelan" was held in Singapore, the first being last year.

The four entertainers have done extensive contributions to Hindi literature in the form of books, feature articles and on line websites with blogging.

"We have gone around the world, wherever Indians live, to promote Hindi language in the form of ''shayari'' by using our talent of communicating in light mode to educate our audiences," Pradeep Choube of Gwaliar said.

Win Your Heart

Great Minds Great Words

7 Words by 7 Greatest Minds

How he made themselves ,what kind of power they have in their mind ? Are they Ultimate guy or born because of great reasons. Well, you can’t sorry, they’re dead. Unless of course you’re clairaudient, be my guest. But for the rest of us, we can still refer to the words they left behind.

Even though these great teachers have passed on, their words still live, and in them their wisdom. I’ve made a list of seven what I believe are some of the greatest teachings by the world’s greatest minds.
1. Realizing Your Dreams

“If you don’t know where you are going, you’ll end up someplace else.”
- Lawrence J. Peter

In order for us to achieve our dreams, we must have a vision of our goals. Writing down our dreams and creating a list of actions helps us stick to our plan. As it’s said “if you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it”. When we turn our goals into measurable actions, we gain clarity and are able to see the necessary steps we must take in order to achieve them.

Action: Visualize a life of your wildest dreams. What did you dream of doing when you were a child? What would you do if you had a million dollars? Create a vision for your goals and start breaking them down into small actions that you can take on a day by day basis.
2. Overcoming Fear

“It was a high counsel that I once heard given to a young person, “Always do what you are afraid to do.”
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

The best way to learn something is to dive right in to it. When we overcome our fear of failure, we learn that only those who are asleep make no mistakes. Fear is the only thing keeping us from experiencing a life of love and fulfillment. If we make a commitment to an uncompromisable quest for truth, we will realize that as we grow more into the truth, our fears start to disappear.

Action: You must define your fears in order to conquer them. Create a list of everything you’re afraid of and start facing them one at a time. Make a commitment to yourself now to not let fear rule your life.
3. Intention and Desire

“All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think, we become.”- Guatama Buddha

Our thoughts determine our reality. When we stop thinking about what we don’t and begin thinking about what we do want, our lives begin to transform. Instead of working against our desires and intentions, we move into alignment with them.

Action: Create a list of your intentions and desires. Wherever you go, take this list with you. Read it when you wake up and before you go to sleep.
4. Happiness

“Happiness depends more on the inward disposition of mind than on outward circumstances.”
- Benjamin Franklin

Happiness comes from an inner peace, understanding and acceptance of life; a perspective of truth that opens your eyes to the beauty of life all around us. Happiness cannot be achieved by external status, it must be an internal state that we realize when we see our innate perfection.

Action: Realize that happiness is a choice. In every decision you make ask yourself “how can I respond to make myself happy and fulfilled?”
5. Self Acceptance

“If a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.” – Jesus

When we stop trying to be what we are not, we realize our authenticity. Before we had knowledge, we were completely authentic. We learn to use knowledge to measure and judge, which is a powerful tool we have as humans. However we create an image of perfection in our mind of what we should be, but are not. We confuse knowledge for nature. We believe in the lie of our imperfection. When we realize this we can reclaim the truth of our perfection and live in love and acceptance.

Action: Make a commitment to never go against yourself. Practice non-judgment and realize that the same part of your mind that condemns you is the same voice that caused you to take the action in the first place. We don’t even have to believe what we say to ourselves.
6. Appreciation and Gratitude

“So much has been given to me, I have not time to ponder over that which has been denied.”
- Helen Keller

How many times do we count our misfortunes rather than our blessings? When we take time to open our eyes to the miracle of life we can see the many gifts that have been given to us. Remembering all the beautiful aspects of life and all the reasons you are blessed can immediately shift our mood. We can move from sorrow and despair to appreciation and hope.

Action: Each time you find yourself complaining about something, re-direct your focus to something you are grateful for. Make a habit of transforming your awareness of troubles into an awareness of abundance.
7. The Art of Simplicity

“I made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it short.”
- Blaise Pascal

Perfection is not when there is nothing to add, but when there is nothing more to take away. As Bruce Lee once said “the height of cultivation always runs to simplicity.” True mastery of our lives is realizing the simple joys of life, removing distractions and clutter from our lives.

Action: The art of simplicity is knowing what to take away. Practice recognizing when you’re spending your time on unimportant tasks and re-focus on the important.

This list is by no means exhaustive. There are other many great teachings that I did not include here because I felt like they were already expounded on thoroughly elsewhere, such as Einstein and Gandhi’s timeless classics. There are also great teachings to be found from our parents or friends.
